In Vietnam, the practice of fasting to prevent illness has existed since the 1960s, but not many people understand or apply it. My aunt's friend, Thanh, had surgery, then the illness recurred, and she had to have another surgery. The mother of a young ethnic minority girl named Co Ton from Da Tong Commune, Dam Rong District, a place I visited, also had surgery and then had to retake it. Both of them passed away.
Previously, in the United States, many people were aware of fasting methods, such as journalist William Dufty, who used this method to cure himself and wrote the English book “You are all Sanpaku” as shown in the picture below.
This book is available on Amazon and was translated into Vietnamese 49 years ago under the title "The Art of Longevity and Human Life Through the Eyes".
If only Ms. Thanh, Co Ton's mother, and many others had known the value of brown rice. How can we make the true value of brown rice known to more people? How can we prevent people who have had surgery from having to undergo another operation and achieve good health? There are so many people in this situation. What can we do now? Based on my successful experience with fasting, I am confident that I can find ways to persuade a US university to undertake a doctoral dissertation on the topic of "Choosing the right food to avoid repeat surgeries." I sincerely hope this project will be implemented because its impact will be enormous, as the number of people undergoing repeat surgeries is a global issue. I hope this project will be implemented so that I can borrow $300,000 USD from my uncle to support it and have the motivation to use my knowledge of Business Analysis and Communications to earn money to repay him.
This doctoral dissertation can also be effectively applied to a large number of obese people. I really hope to be admitted to a university to have the opportunity to carry out this project."
