Do you know that while I was still in my mother's womb, I was nourished with brown rice? When I was in fourth grade, half of my face swelled up, and I was treated with brown rice. At 14, I fell face-first, my lip was bruised, and my mouth was bleeding. At 17, I was dragged on the road, my knee was swollen, and my leg was stiff. I couldn't walk, and I used brown rice to treat it. Whenever I got in a car, I would vomit. I lost 6 kilograms in 28 days, but strangely, I no longer got carsick. I used brown rice for those too.
In this picture from when I was 14, I fell face-first, bruising my lips and causing internal bleeding in my mouth.
I have been researching the use of brown rice and the macrobiotic diet for many years.
When the human body is given foods that are not suitable, it will become ill. Eating more than the body needs can also cause illness. The body absorbs nutrients from food to grow. For young people, because their excretory and digestive systems are still healthy, they are able to eliminate toxins and waste from food, resulting in fewer illnesses. However, for the elderly, these systems are not as strong, so the body cannot eliminate these substances as effectively, leading to a higher risk of disease. The book "Eating Brown Rice and Sesame" is a basic introduction for beginners, while "Ohsawa's Macrobiotic Diet" provides a detailed explanation of how to eat for good health, prevent disease, and treat illness. The "New Macrobiotic Diet" is a previous version of "Ohsawa's Macrobiotic Diet" that was published 50 years ago.
When you are sick, eating brown rice helps regulate the food entering the mouth, preventing harmful substances from entering the body. This gives the body time to self-regulate and eliminate toxins. This is the fundamental reason why diseases can be healed. Eating brown rice is a form of dietary restraint, meaning regulating the food that enters the mouth. The pinnacle of dietary restraint is fasting. I personally fasted for 28 days and lost 6 kg. It cured my previous illness of vomiting whenever I got in a car. Now I don't vomit at all. Additionally, my reflexes have improved, and I'm calmer and more clear-headed compared to before my 28-day fast. The books "Where Does hunger strike Lead Us" by Thai Khac Le, a Vietnamese author, and "Dry hunger strike" by Sergey Filonov, a Russian author, both discuss the practice of hunger strike.
The book "Healthy and Happiness" was written by the founder of the macrobiotic diet, George Ohsawa, and published in 1970. This method originated from Japan, but the Japanese have largely forgotten about it today. "The Book of Miso" discusses methods of making miso from soybeans. Consuming miso helps boost the immune system and provides the body with plant-based protein.
The book "Cancer Prevention Diet" was written by Michio Kushi, a student of George Ohsawa. It discusses dietary measures to prevent 25 types of cancer. During his lifetime, the author established many macrobiotic centers in the United States.
Macrobiotics Today magazine, located at 1277 Marian Avenue, Chico, California 95928-6914, is published four times a year. It provides information and articles on diet, health, and environmental awareness from a macrobiotic perspective, combining traditional macrobiotic views of physical, emotional, and spiritual health with contemporary thinking and scientific knowledge.
The book "Living Well Naturally" has been translated into Vietnamese as "Vui sống tự nhiên" and was written by Dr. Anthony J. Sattilaro, who himself was a cancer survivor who healed his bone cancer through macrobiotics."
There are many books about Macrobiotics, such as "The Clear Effects of the Ohsawa Method, Longevity Practices, and Meditation" by Huynh Van Ba, who has written and translated 19 books on this method.
